7 reasons you should be taking care of your breasts

When you type in 'breast care' or anything breast related into google, you will only see pages about breast cancer, breast implants or breast feeding.

The information around breasts seems to be something of a mystery, and it seems it only occurs to us to start thinking about caring for our breasts, when something is wrong.

When suddenly they start to sag or we have to begrudgingly do our monthly checks for lumps and bumps, all whilst grimacing and hoping not to find anything. (I am embarrassed to say I only started doing breast checks after I had been diagnosed with breast cancer, and I only found my lump by chance)

Caring for our breasts is something we should enjoy and prioritize. It doesn't need to be the millionth thing you're adding to a never ending to-do list, and something else to make you feel guilty for not doing. It should just be normal, in the same way you brush your teeth or moisturize your face.

I only discovered that taking care of your breasts was a 'thing' a whole year after my breast cancer treatment. Previous to my breast cancer, I had complained about their appearance after pregnancy, I had whinged about having mastitis and I certainly didn't touch them or even do checks for lumps, ever. I was not giving them any love at all, which as you can imagine, is something I definitely regret now.

Using the breast balm has become consistent for me, obviously for health reasons but also because it eases the pain I still had from my mastectomy 3 years ago.

A breast care routine is simple, and only takes a few minutes.

But first let me tell you why it's so important for everyone

By spending a couple of minutes regularly dry skin brushing and massaging with the balm,   you can:

  • 1. Stimulate the lymphatic system to clear and detox the many lymph vessels within your breast tissue. which is great to get rid of toxin buildup from things like deodorant, and the pollution absorbed from our environment.
  • 2. Massage your breasts to improve blood flow and nourish them with the balm.
  • 3. Daily massage will leave your breasts looking fuller and plumper and softer.
  • 4. All the essential oils (like iodine which is ESSENTIAL) in the balm have healing properties and ensure healthy breast tissue.
  • 5. Daily self care of the breasts will ensure you are familiar with them and make it easy to spot any changes or lumps.
  • 6. It eases hormonal breast pain
  • 7. Where attention goes, energy flows. A beautiful way to relax each day and tune in with your body. Something that is vital for mental and physical health.

Bonus points -

8. The dry skin brushing (which helps exfoliate and clear any dead skin) seriously reduces any cellulite and improves blood flow around the whole body

9. You will smell divine and feel like a feminine Goddess.
