My third book is almost here! Cover reveal and release details!

To those of you who have been following me for a while it may feel like I've been banging on about this third book for agggeeesss, but I promise, it is actually coming. I am in the final stages of the book, my cover is complete and I have a release date!

This book is titled 'This wasn't the plan' and I started writing this over four years ago.
My Previous two books 'Wallflower' and 'Sunflower' were very successful and the feedback and reviews I got for them really did make me feel proud. But I wrote them when I was very young (I started writing Wallflower when I was 18/19!)

So obviously I had grown up a lot in age but also as a person. My life had changed a lot and so had my own personal taste in books.
One of my favourite authors for hard hitting stories that leave you thinking about that story weeks later, is Jodi Picoult. I devour her books and often feel like I've had to contemplate a subject I've never contemplated before.

Her writing style was a real inspiration for the type of book I knew I wanted to write.

I had this idea that I wanted this book to be memorable, I wanted it to be the type of book that makes you laugh and cry but teaches you something about life. I wanted it to make people, above all else, feel strong emotion.

I came up with a story line and created characters (which is always my favourite part, it's very fun to create a character, add parts of your own personality or create someone you wish were more like, or even an alter ego) I decided one of the characters was to be diagnosed with breast cancer and built a story around that. Little did I know that two years later I would actually be diagnosed with breast cancer myself. They say that life imitates art, so I'm kind of wishing I had written about a lottery win or something now!

This is not my personal story of breast cancer, the book was mainly already written but I did feel I was able to go back in and change medical terminology in the book and I was able to elaborate on some of the details I had previously written when it came to things like treatment, side effects and emotions.

Although the book does have a cancer story in it, it is written in a real but also a light hearted way,  there are many characters and the main story line is really focused on Jade, the writer.

(Just in case you were thinking it might be a bit depressing!)

I don't want to give too much else away, so I will leave you with a little taster of the synopsis....

Jade Love is a twenty something hopeless romantic, living in London. A bohemian writer whose ambitions have never quite happened. After a series of rejections, she is bordering on the brink of depression and giving up on her dream of becoming a published author.

When she ends up in hospital after an unexpected accident, her family begin to wonder if she had tried to commit suicide.

Jade is about to walk a painful path of heartbreak and building herself up out of the ashes. It is through this journey she forms a strong friendship with one of her previous customers from the coffee shop she worked in before the accident, Natasha.

Natasha Reid is a big time PR manager, a true boss lady whose business is her life. She is known for her work but also her amazing style and usually spends her days in the office and her evenings at social events all over London. She may be famous on instagram and captivate the attention of everyone she meets but in her personal life she is fighting a daily battle with anxiety. She has kept everyone at arms length in a bid to protect herself from getting hurt, ever since her fiance left her.

But when she is diagnosed with breast cancer, she feels more alone than ever and would trade every follower and every success she had to be healthy and have the chance of love again.

Sometimes when your world is falling apart, all you need is one person to believe in you.

'This wasn't the plan' is a story of how deep pain can shape your life, how people come together in the darkest of times and how beautiful humanity can be.

'This wasn't the plan' will be available on amazon from mid March 2018
